Hotel has the fantastic location in the heart of trendy Surry Hills. Only a 2-minute walk to Central Station and Oxford Street, and an easy 5 minute walk to Hyde Park and the city centre. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars and clubs near by. During your stay, dinner at Spice I Am next door is highly recommended. It is one of Sydney's best Thai restaurants - cafe style with extremely reasonable prices and you can bring your own wine.
You can check in to your accommodation on level two. (As you enter the pub on the ground floor level, you will find the stairs in the far left corner). Although small, the reception area does have an Internet terminal and some seating is available. The check in counter is reminiscent of old English style boutique pub accommodation.
Alice's restaurant upstairs is open 7 days for lunch and dinner. The menu serves Thai dishes, as well as a good variety of continental choices such as burgers, steaks and salads. A light continental breakfast is included in the cost of accommodation, and guests can pay a small amount extra on check in if they wish to upgrade this to a hot breakfast.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, and are well maintained. They have polished wooden floorboards, air-conditioning, television and private bathrooms. This is pub style accommodation, with the pub located on the ground floor, and the rooms located on level two above.
